ICL Group is a world leader in the production and distribution of specialty fertilizers, bromine, and other flame retardants. The company has more than 13,000 employees in 45 plants worldwide, supporting ICL Group’s global operations and widespread distribution.
ICL Group production processes involve potentially hazardous materials and critical processes. With an organizational culture committed to the principles of environmental and public health and safety,
ICL Group puts an emphasis on safety excellence and optimal risk management.
The company wanted to provide their global sites with a tool that would serve as a corporate gold standard to ensure effective management of emergency events. A solution that would enable communication between all relevant internal and external parties, accessible data and the ability to transmit images and video streams from the field would facilitate informed decision-making and faster response during an active crisis.

ICL Group faced numerous challenges that significantly affected decision-making capabilities and slowed response time in emergency events. As a global organization, ICL Group needed an integrated, centralized management system that would connect between all sites and parties involved, providing a reliable flow of information and notification across the internal chain of command.
ICL Group wanted to replace the system of manual event logs and handwritten reports with an automated, connected, digital system that could generate a clear, uniform, and complete situational picture across all global sites. Providing work teams with improved mobile communication capabilities and access to real-time information from a single source was critical to facilitate coordination and to prevent unnecessary delays that could potentially cause event escalation.

At the corporate level, ICL Group wanted full event visibility and reliable multi-level communication,
to maintain situational awareness and engagement in every aspect of cross-organizational emergency management.
ICL Group was seeking a comprehensive solution that enabled real-time data communication and visualization from the field that would make it easier to identify risks or hazards for rapid emergency response, and actionable insights for proactive safety.
Our goal was to connect between all parties involved and show insights and real-time notification on the corporate level.
-Nitzan Moshe, EVP Global Operations at ICL Group
There was no unified system and no real-time communication, so response time took too long.
-Lior Eli , VP Global at ICL Group

ICL Group and GOARC have been working together for four years, so it was a natural progression to continue the successful collaboration. Together, we worked to develop and implement an emergency management system that would meet ICL’s specific challenges.
GOARC’s Emergency Management Solution provides ICL Group with:

Full visibility with visual and interactive data on GOARC's unique management dashboard eliminates information gaps, providing multi-level information that facilitates immediate response and efficient performance.
ICL Group event managers can track and analyze ongoing situations at any site. For ICL Group work teams and management, a single connected resource that integrates all data sources and provides access to valuable, accurate information enables informed, efficient operations and enhanced safety.
App enables transmitting videos, images and location, providing event managers, workers and command center with real-time push and text notifications for critical data from anywhere, at any time. Views include an event log, hazardous material status, casualty status, and event media coverage. The connected app also enables access to valuable information on emergency procedures while in the field.
The digital, unified and dynamic management system for all ICL Group sites enables automated localized workflows for personalized safety and routines, and a uniform language for reporting across global sites.
